Senator Johnson Continues to Improve, Though Slowly

South Dakota: The latest update on Senator Tim Johnson's health indicates continued improvement but a lack of clarity about the length of time for rehabilitation and the degree to which he may resume work down the road. However, he does seem conscious, responsive, and continually - though slowly - improving. Odds are, he will serve out the term, but not run for re-election. Regardless, let's continue to hope for consistent improvement in his health.

He will require at least several months of physical therapy before he can return to work, Johnson's spokeswoman Julianne Fisher said Wednesday.
